POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Hospice Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. The Director of Digital Marketing will set the vision and lead implementation of a digital marketing plan and associated strategies. This role will guide the organization in the prioritization, development, and execution of a plan to elevate and extend the brand, create demand, and drive growth.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build digital marketing roadmap:
    • Identify strategies, tactics, and tools critical to effective digital marketing.
    • Manage resources, vendors, budgets, and timelines to ensure rapid execution of marketing platform vision.
    • Effectively communicate and evangelize digital marketing within the Compassus organization.

  • Ownership of campaigns:
    • Collaborate with vendor partners to build, maintain, and optimize digital marketing campaigns (SEM, social, email) for Compassus.
    • Become superuser for campaign and promotional elements of web content management system.
    • Work with internal and external resources to ensure that digital marketing campaigns and assets are a true reflection of the compassion and excellence of the Compassus brand.
    • Develop communication plan to highlight program successes through the organization.
    • Work closely with marketing and digital content teams to ensure alignment of focus.

  • Manage digital marketing program budget:
    • Work directly with program Executive Directors to establish appropriate marketing goals and budgets.
    • Develop and communicate budget forecasts.
    • Establish Monthly Operating Review for digital marketing program.

  • Manage digital marketing program reporting:
    • Set appropriate KPIs and establish baseline performance.
    • Optimize marketing program performance.
    • Consolidate data from multiple sources (e.g. – Salesforce, Google Analytics, etc…) to fully understand program impact.

  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence:
    • Fully understand the national competitive landscape and optimize Compassus campaigns accordingly.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advances that may offer performance benefits.

  • Build and manage an effective digital marketing team:
    • Develop staffing plan that is reflective of the needs of the organization.
    • Recruit and manage team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree. At least 6 years of experience in digital and integrated marketing. At least 2 years of experience managing a digital marketing teamss.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Directors, patients, families, and the general public. Ability to make presentations one on one and groups.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Publisher, Visio, etc. software. Web analytics experience, including building and analyzing reports with Google Analytics is strongly preferred. Experience with common CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is strongly preferred. Experience in a common web content management system (e.g. – Wordpress, Sitecore, Joomla, etc…) is preferred.

Other Qualifications

Strong organization, interpersonal, and communications skills. Possess strong writing skills. History of success as a team member on project deliverables. History of meeting assignment deadlines and budgetary requirements. Must be professional and use sound judgment.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance required.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to lead and influence large project teams. Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement. Ability to understand, read, write and speak English.
